Co-op Course Registration
If you are co-oping next semester, you must register for the tuition-free, 12 audited-hour, COOP course in order to receive credit for the work term and to be considered enrolled full-time at Georgia Tech while you are working.
To audit a class means to register for a class without receiving academic credit. While the COOP class does not count as academic credit towards your degree, it is very important because being enrolled in the COOP class allows you to maintain your full-time student status and causes your work term to appear on your transcript. A grade of “V” will be assigned to a successfully completed co-op work term or “W” for an unsuccessful work term.
If you have fewer than 60 credits on the date of registration, register for the 2000-level COOP class; if you have 60 or more credits on the date of registration, register for the 4000-level co-op class. Be sure to register for the COOP class with your co-op advisor’s initials (for example, register for COOP 2000 WT if your advisor is Wayne Thompson and you currently have completed fewer than 60 credits).

Please let your advisor know if you experience any problems when registering for the co-op class.
